Dr. AmandaCote
Board-Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist . The person in your corner every step of the way.
My name is Dr. Amanda Cote, PT, DPT, NCS. I was born and raised in Worcester County, MA, where I still proudly call home today. Growing up, my parents always told me, “Find what makes you happy, and the rest will come.” That advice has guided every step of my journey.
My first experience with Physical Therapy came in high school, when I was treated for an ankle injury by Michelle Caty, PT, MPT. She educated me about my body while making every session fun and engaging — and in doing so, she changed my entire future trajectory. Before that, I had dreams of becoming a professional dancer. Between dancing, lacrosse, and cheerleading, I inevitably collected my share of injuries along the way, which only deepened my appreciation for PT care.
After graduating from UMass Amherst, I returned to Central MA and began my journey toward becoming a Physical Therapist at MCPHS University. I continued teaching dance on the side and initially planned to specialize in PT for dancers — until my path shifted once again.
It was at MCPHS’s on-site pro-bono clinic that I met my first patients with neurological involvement — individuals recovering from stroke, living with Parkinson’s Disease, and navigating a range of other conditions. Paired with the infectious passion of my Neuro professors, I found my calling.

The Moments That Matter
What I love most about Neurologic Rehabilitation is the opportunity it gives people. The opportunity to dance with a daughter on her wedding day. To stand up and embrace a spouse with confidence again. To walk your dog independently, ski the slopes without worry, return to the field after a concussion, dress oneself, or hold a grandchild with steady, confident arms.
These moments are what make this work so powerful — and so personal.
At Prevail Neurologic Rehabilitation, I will meet you where you are. Your goals become my goals. Together, we will work to make you feel confident, empowered, strong, and motivated. This is not just a job — it is my passion. And I want to help you pursue yours, whatever that looks like, every step of the way.
Prevail Neurologic Rehabilitation was born out of a simple but unwavering belief. The current healthcare landscape is driven largely by insurance reimbursement and profit margins — and as a result, the patient too often gets lost in the process. I found myself working within systems where the standard of care I believed in was no longer supported, and where the time and attention each person deserved was being steadily stripped away. I refused to accept that.
Rehabilitation should be guided by the person sitting across from me — their goals, their progress, their life. Not by a reimbursement rate. I started Prevail Neurologic Rehabilitation so that my education, my expertise, and my passion could remain exactly where they belong: fully focused on you.
Here, there is no settling for mediocre. Every individual who comes through this door deserves my undivided attention, my highest standards, and my unwavering commitment to the best possible outcome — and that is exactly what I intend to deliver.

Thank You
None of this would be possible without the unwavering support of my husband and my family. Thank you for always letting me dream. To all of my friends & colleagues, thank you.
I also want to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible mentors who shaped me along the way.
As a student, I completed a 10-week clinical rotation under the guidance of Dr. Aly Moriarty, PT, DPT, NCS, who helped me navigate the complexities of caring for individuals in the early stages of recovery from Traumatic Brain Injuries.
Julie Lee, PT, MPT taught me the art of building genuine rapport — and showed me how something as simple as a gentle, reassuring touch can be profoundly powerful. Julie also gave me my first job as a new graduate, a gift I will never forget.
Dr. Rebecca Read, PT, DPT, Dr. Christine Feeley, PT, DPT, and Dr. Khushnum Narielwalla, PT, DPT continued to mentor and inspire me, reinforcing the importance of person-centered care and the power of a collaborative team.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working alongside incredibly talented Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists. Expanding Prevail Neurologic Rehabilitation to one day include these services is a goal I hold close — because I know firsthand just how transformative that team-based care can be.
Lastly, I want to thank each and every patient I have had the pleasure of working with along the way. Thank you for trusting me with your care — it is, and always will be, an honor.
